This full-day workshop will provide an overview of ritual abuse, torture and trafficking. We will define terms and trends as well as offer reality based options to providers, outreach workers and administrators. This training will examine Rescue-Based, Diversion, and Harm Reduction Approaches and make recommendations for intervention. We will also discuss the implications of the Trafficking Victims Protection Act and its impact on youth trading sex for money and survival needs.
