Rethink Resources

I have a couple wonderful contributions for Rethink, the zine. And I’m extending the time so more youth can be contribute to the zine. I didn’t really get a chance to get the word out before, so let everyone know and I’m sending it out too.

I’m looking for creative expression from youth who are currently or have been involved in the sex trade for a zine.
I need contributions from youth by June 1, 2008.

What’s a zine you ask?
It’s a cut & paste, copied publication made from passion, not for profit

What do you mean by the sex trade? Having sex or doing sexual stuff for money or survival needs, exotic dancing, movies, pictures or web cam, someone else making money off of you having sex. Some people call it commercial sexual exploitation or street words - tell me what you call it.

First issue theme – what would you say if someone was really listening?

Looking for poems, lyrics, artwork, letters, advice, a few sentences, a couple of pages, a word, stories, actions, cartoons, resources, helpful information, pictures, what your youth group is up to, whatever.

your name (first name, street name, it’s up to you)
your age, and your city
how to reach you so I can send you the zine and an extra copy for a friend for free
something about yourself for a bio – what do you like to do for fun? music you like? something you want to share about yourself?

I want to print what you create – it’s ok to talk about sex, street life, real stuff. Express yourself!

Ask me about how to help you stay anonymous and safe in contributing.

This zine will go out all over to other youth who’ve traded sex for money, youth who haven’t and want to hear what you think and adults who want to support you better and listen to you!
