I have a lot on my mind lately. I do plan on blogging more in the days to come. For right now, I have a whole month of news updates. Many news links came to my attention but I’ve chosen just a few to link to today.

Read about an ordinance in Portland, Oregon targeting homeless youth ticketing youth for sit or lying down on the street for ‘too long.’

Charges in Connecticut against a man and woman on producing child porn and prostitution of a minor - the 14 year old told police she was threatened if she said anything.

An official with Florida’s child protection services was charged with paying teen boys to do sexual things on camera and now he’s facing federal charges too.

A couple charged in Illinois for running an escort services and encouraging and helping a teen runaway from Wisconsin to work for them. Authorities are charging the 17 year old teen as an adult too as a part of the prostitution arrest that led police to uncover the situation - but charging the adults with pandering for their role in pimping her out.

In Maryland, a mom faces charges of making her teen daughter have sex for money for months.

An entertainment park worker in Cincinnati is accused of recruiting teen co-workers to videotape having sex for a porn site he was creating.

Read here about an arrest made in California about a case of an adult man giving drugs for sex to 2 girls, 12 and 14 years old.

Note in all of 6 news links about specifically youth and the sex trade that none of the youth were involved in street level prostitution. It was all inside people’s homes, workplaces, internet, and family involvement.
